Good Old White!

 Good Old White!

No doubt about it, color is super hot right now but how can you go wrong with white?  I love these little details from a wedding last summer – all white with little hits of color and texture.  It is hard to see but the signature cocktail had a gold flake garnish to add a little sparkle.  Pure and simple!

Gina & Jeff’s Wedding – Pelican Hill, Newport Coast, CA

 Pelican Hill
Well, what can I say?  Gina and Jeff’s wedding this last weekend was nothing short of a grand slam!  Beautiful setting at Pelican Hill, 80 degree weather and one fun crowd!  It has been an unbelievable year for these two.  Starting with their engagement, winning the World Series (Jeff was a GM with the St. Louis Cardinals) landing the GM job for the Houston Astros and finally a gorgeous, perfect wedding.  I am so happy for you two!  Here are a few shots from the weekend.

Colors for 2012

 Colors for 2012

Trends come and go as we all know.  My thought for colors for 2012 – ALL OF THEM!!! Why hold back?  Here is a good example of using color.  Last fall I had the opportunity to work on a table scape with the talented Dolce Design Studio in Los Angeles for a Bride an Bloom shoot. The theme was Bohemian.  The table runner was a lavender Moroccan patterned linen and the florals were a variety of rich, burgundy peonies, green hydrangeas, beautiful pink garden roses, orchids and much more, all contained in an eclectic mix of vessels. To some the assortment may seem a bit chaotic but if styled right, it can be dramatic and inviting.
